So there is a bit of story behind this...

I took this picture a long time ago, on the same day I took all of the other picture of Beca. She designed and made this costume for her belly dancing troupe, and it was one of the many costumes we took pictures of that night. The problem was that this one hadn't been premiered in a show, so I couldn't upload it.

Well as you can see, it's premiered, and I've finally gotten around to editing it and fixing the background as best I could. The lighting was poor, and all we used in the background was a spair bed sheet.

Well, it might be a bed sheet, but it works out great. Makes a good photographer to get beautiful shots with using all he can get his hands on. =) In this case a bed sheet, but it looks awesome.
Poor lighting, but it's sexy lighting. It's not just a half naked girl, it's a real photo =) (Yeah, I read your journal about the comments 'n stuff) ;)
I love those glove thingies she has btw..
The color of the bed sheet looks great with the color of her outfit.. Nicely done, good job =)

Well the bed sheets color was messed with in post. It was really a white or off-white sheet so it didn't really work out that well.

Thank you for all of the comments, I'm rather happy with how it turned out considering how much of a newbie I was when I took the picture.

wow, like the other piece your use of colours is inviting and cools great.
I like the contrast between the bare flesh, smooth and natural, and the lace of the cloths contrasts in both colour and texture.
I like how you've got the model standing, relaxed and inviting.
i really like this piece :)

As far as the poses go, it was all her. Being a born performer, she's very natural when it comes to how to stand in front of the camera. I simply made the adjustments to the camera, and clicked away as she had fun going through different belly dancing poses. It was a real joy.

She's a very talented designer. She's actually got a dance clothing line that's out in stores right now, but it's not as fancy as the costumes like that one.
